The Valley of Vision 这是一本来自清教徒的祷告词集，收纳了 Thomas Shepard, Thomas Watson, Richard Baxter, John Bunyan, Isaac Watts, William Williams, Philip Doddridge, William Romaine, David Brainerd, Augustus Toplady, Christmas Evans, William Jay, Henry Law, Charles Haddon Spurgeon 等人的祈祷。我简单翻译了一篇，记录下来。清教徒品格和生活的力量在于祷告和默想。在这种实践中，祷告的精神被认为是最重要的，也是最好的祷告形式，因为活泼的祷告是真正灵性的特征。
写此文主要是为了提醒自己祷告生活的重要性。为何我们时常觉得属灵生命起起伏伏，无法获得饱满和持续的力量呢？或许我们该深刻反思下自己是否在祷告中下了足够的功夫。敬虔、深刻、活泼的默想与祷告是我们建造与神关系重要的法宝。我们渴望与那位至高者有亲密无比的关系与交通吗？来吧，使用我们的头脑和心灵，张开我们的口，屈下我们的膝盖，来与我们的主亲近吧。
THE VALLEY OF VISION
LORD, HIGH AND HOLY, MEEK AND LOWLY,
Thou hast brought me to the valley of vision,
where I live in the depths but see thee in the heights;
hemmed in by mountains of sin I behold thy glory.
Let me learn by paradox
that the way down is the way up,
that to be low is to be high,
that the broken heart is the healed heart,
that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit,
that the repenting soul is the victorious soul,
that to have nothing is to possess all,
that to bear the cross is to wear the crown,
that to give is to receive,
that the valley is the place of vision.
Lord, in the daytime stars can be seen from deepest wells,
and the deeper the wells the brighter thy stars shine;
Let me find thy light in my darkness,
thy life in my death,
thy joy in my sorrow,
thy grace in my sin,
thy riches in my poverty,
thy glory in my valley.
至高至圣，却谦卑低微的主，
你已将我带到异象之谷，
我住在其间的深渊，见你在其上的高处；
当我被罪恶的群山四围环绕，你的荣光向我显现。
让我通过悖论来学习——
下行之路才是上行之路，
欲登高位必要甘居低处，
破碎的心是被治愈的心，
痛悔的灵乃是喜乐的灵，
回转的生命是得胜的生命，
一无所有却是样样都有，
背起十架是佩戴冠冕，
给予就是接受，
山谷是异象之地，
主啊，虽在白日，星星却可在最深的井里被寻见，
那井愈深，你的众星愈加闪耀；
让我在我的黑暗中看见你的亮光，
在我的死亡里寻得你的生命，
在我的忧愁中得着你的喜乐，
在我的罪孽里遇见你的恩典，
在我的贫乏中拥有你的丰富，
在我的山谷里得见你的荣耀。
但愿我们能在悖论中遇见上帝，敬拜上帝。
